Heavenly Father gave Joseph Smith and the early saints lots of revelation on how to return to live with Him and be happy. In these chapters, He tells them to be faithful and keep doing good things, but also to put aside the distractions of the world. He encourages them to focus on helping others and teaching about Jesus. God reminds them that their work should be about Him, not about trying to impress others, or get fame.
“And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world, and seek for the things of a better.” (D&C 25:10)
