Adam and Eve were given the power to choose, and their choice helped God’s plan move forward. Even when choices brought consequences, Heavenly Father promised a Savior so everyone could learn, grow, and try again. Because of Jesus Christ, our choices can lead us back to God as we learn from them.
Agency is essential to our plan on earth. Just like Adam and Eve choosing the forbidden fruit, we learn through our choices. Sometimes it’s a “good apple” or a “bad apple decision”. While we will make mistakes and fall down sometimes, the Atonement of Jesus Christ can get us back on track through repentance and climb to great heights.
It’s game time!! Print this game board of “Fruits and Ladders” to learn about “good Apple” and “bad Apple” decisions in a fun way!

INSTRUCTIONS: Cut out the apple choice cards and forbidden fruit playing pieces on page 1 and 2. Have each player pick a playing piece and place them on the “Start” square on the game board (page 3). Stack the apple choice cards and place them facing down. Take turns drawing an apple choice card, reading it, and moving the playing pieces accordingly. When a player lands on a ladder space, follow the arrow and move up! Following Heavenly Father and Jesus help us reach new heights! When a player lands on an “oh, shoot!” space, follow the arrow and move down to the designated space. Part of learning and growing is making some choices that make us go, “Oh, shoot!” but throuh Christ, we can catch up and get moving again. First player to the “Finish” wins!
