When we trust in the Lord and follow His guidance, we can be ready for whatever comes. In these chapters, the Lord tells the Saints to gather in Ohio and reassures them that their challenges and will protect them if they obey and care for each other. In contrast, Sections 39–40 show how James Covill’s fear and rejection of the Lord’s guidance left him unprepared and without blessings.
The Saints learned that unity and preparation through obedience can replace fear with confidence and the same is true and promised for us today.
